Originally, I was going to turn these a vibrant green, but when I saw how good the yellow brought out the chatoyance of the maple, I left perfection alone. A simple tung oil finish preserves these beauties while leaving no trace. Wood beads from the stash bring a bit of extra earthen funk to your fancy. Hardware is nickel-free oxidized brass with a niobium, allergy-proof earwire. 
 
PS for those of you who think your skin color means you "can't wear yellow" - the earthy undertones of the wood temper the yellow to almost a neutral. I wear my marigold hoops several times a week, and I'm a cool-complected Irish lass.
