I loved the original Apple Walnut boats so much, I needed to make some with bright colors! Botanically dyed maple with delicate, iridescent depth of grain is brought to life with marigolds from the garden in the Citrine, and madder root in Madder Red. These glowing pieces have a whole conversation with the equally glowy walnut, which is finished with many coats of tung oil from Rhode Island. The maple pieces are finished with tung and shellac. 
 
Nickel-free oxidized brass and skin-safe niobium ear wires complete the design in the Madder Red design, and sterling silver complements the Citrine color.
