These minis are for those who have asked me if I make anything smaller! Still featuring the gorgeous colors and figuring of spalted maple, these are a bit smaller than other pieces, but still create their own landscape.
 
Storm Maple pieces come from a tall maple tree that came down in my neighbor’s yard during a powerful storm in 2020. Age and rot had weakened the tree, but the fungal microbes also created the stunning designs and colors within the branches - known as "spalting."
 
These are finished with tung oil from Rhode Island, and feature sterling silver hardware.
